The Northeast Educational Theatre Festival will include Individual Events on Saturday, December 5. This is a non-competitive opportunity for students to have their work viewed by professionals and receive written response. Students who participate and receive a superior rating become eligible to showcase their talents in the National Individual Events Showcase (NIES) program held at the Thespian Festival @ the University of Nebraska in June.
Seven performance categories (monologue, duet acting, group acting, solo/duet/group musical theatre, and mime) and eight technical categories (costume design, theatre marketing, scenic design, stage management, costume construction, sound design, lighting design, and short film) are offered in Individual Events. Each student will be viewed by three adjudicators.
